The Power of Synchronicity in Healing and Connection

Grief has a way of changing everything. It breaks your heart wide open, and in that rawness, you sometimes begin to notice things you would have brushed off before... the little nudges, the signs, the synchronicities that feel like more than coincidence.

In this conversation, I had the privilege of sitting with Kylie as she shared the story of losing her husband, Ben. Her journey is one of love, heartbreak, and the unexpected ways our loved ones show up when you’re willing to pay attention.

The First Signs

Not long after Ben passed, Kylie began receiving calls from numbers that weren’t even phone numbers. At first, she wasn’t sure what to make of it. Was it her imagination? Was she reaching for comfort where there was none?

But over time, it became harder to deny. These moments didn’t feel random. They felt like love finding a way to reach her, guiding her.

Learning to Say Yes To You

Losing Ben put Kylie in the depths of despair and she knew she had to take control of her life. She seen a Breathwork event that was advertised and something pushed her to take a step, her grief was so raw that she wasn’t living, she was only just surviving.

From that event Kylie booked a healing retreat in Bali. She was uncertain and part of her wanted to cancel, and she would have if it wasn’t for the Willywagtail bird that kept turning up and squarking at her, as if to say “you have to go”

So she chose to say yes.

That yes opened the door to a series of experiences she couldn’t have planned for. She met people she instantly felt connected to, she felt held in moments she didn’t expect, and she began to see how Spirit was guiding her every step of the way.

Sometimes, the biggest breakthroughs come when we listen to those quiet nudges and trust them, even when they don’t make sense.

The Backpack Moment

One of the most powerful parts of Kylie’s story is so simple, yet so moving. She came across a Harley-Davidson backpack, something that carried deep meaning for Ben and their life together.

It was the kind of sign you can’t brush off. The kind that stops you in your tracks, gives you goosebumps, and makes you whisper, “I know that was you.”

It was Spirit’s way of reminding her that Ben was still with her, just in a different way.

What We Can All Take From This

Kylie’s story isn’t just about signs. It’s about trust. It’s about letting yourself believe that those little things you notice, the feather, the number, the song, the rainbow, they matter.

Here’s what I hope you remember from her journey:

  • Signs are love trying to get your attention.

  • When you say yes, Spirit meets you halfway.

  • You don’t need to make sense of everything. Just allow yourself to feel it.

  • Love never disappears. It shifts, but it never leaves.

Final Thoughts

If you’ve ever lost someone you love, or if you’re learning to trust your own intuition, maybe Kylie’s story will remind you of this: Spirit always finds a way to speak.

Sometimes it’s in the smallest of things. Sometimes it takes your breath away. And sometimes, all it asks of you is to slow down, notice, and whisper back, “I see you.”

If Kylie’s story spoke to your heart, you can listen to the full conversation on the podcast.
