Why Do I Feel Blocked in My Mediumship (and How to Unblock Instantly)
If you’ve been developing your mediumship and suddenly feel like Spirit has ghosted you (pun very much intended), I want you to know this: you have not gone backward, and Spirit hasn’t abandoned you (even though it might feel that way).
One of the most common frustrations I hear from students is:
“I feel blocked, like I'm not getting anything anymore.”

1. Recognise the Trigger
Most blocks come from fear: fear of being wrong, fear of judgment, fear of “making it up.” These fears creep in silently and can feel like someone’s pulled the plug on your connection.

If you’re stressed, overwhelmed, or carrying unprocessed trauma, your body goes into protection mode. And when your system is in fight-or-flight, connection gets patchy.
As a trauma-informed mentor, I see this all the time.
It’s not Spirit rejecting you; it’s your body needing safety before opening up again.
๐ Tip: Notice how your body feels before a reading. Are your shoulders tight? Is your stomach in knots? If yes, regulate first, then connect.
3. Do a 60-Second Reset
You don’t need an hour-long ritual to reset. Try this instead:
Close your eyes and take a deep breath in through your nose. Exhale slowly through your mouth.
Bring to mind a memory that makes you smile — maybe your child’s laugh, your favourite song, or a sunny walk on the beach.
Let that feeling flood your body.
Hold onto it for a few breaths until you feel lighter.
This technique grounds your nervous system and raises your vibration instantly.
When you feel safe, Spirit can flow through again.
4. Reframe the Block
Instead of spiralling into “I’ve lost it!” remind yourself: blocks are recalibrations.
Think of it like your phone buffering while it updates. Spirit hasn’t gone anywhere; your system is just aligning to hold a clearer connection.
